Vanilla Dream CBD Pumpkin Canna Cookies (Gluten free option available)

Autumn is finally here! What better way to pretend it's not summer here in South Florida by making CBD infused pumpkin cookies! My family is gluten free, besides my wonderful hubby who turns gluten free if I make something like these amazing cookies! What better way to get your daily dose of CBD in while enjoying the thought of the humidity of South Florida leaving very soon. 

I've started seeing pumpkins in our grocery stores, specifically Sprouts and decided to kick off Fall with some CBD cookies. I do not let my children consume these cookies because even though it's minimal, they are created using full spectrum CBD which is legal to have less than 0.3% THC. If you make another batch and omit the CBD, your kids will thank me, I mean you!!

Original Hemp Vanilla Dream (which you can find here at is an amazing fit for this particular recipe because the vanilla flavor works in perfect harmony with all the "fall flavors". I use 250 mg but you can use whatever mg you want and Original Hemp goes up to 2000 mg. The recipe will make approximately 3 dozen cookies depending on how big you make the cookies!


What's in the Cookies:

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour (I use gluten free all purpose flour)

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg

1/8 teaspoon ground clove

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup unsalted butter at room temperature

3/4 cup packed light brown sugar

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

5 full droppers of Original Hemp Vanilla Dream 250mg CBD oil

1 cup pure pumpkin puree

1/4 cup pure maple syrup

1 1/4 cups old-fashioned oats (I use gluten free)


Maple Glaze:

2 tablespoons melted butter

1 1/3 cups powdered sugar

1 tablespoon pure maple syrup

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 tablespoons milk (I use almond unsweetened)

1/2 to full dropper of Original Hemp Vanilla Dream 250mg to 500mg CBD oil


CBD pumpkin Cookies 


* Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a large cookie sheet with parchment paper.

* Whisk together the flour, baking soda, spices, and salt in a medium bowl.  Set aside.

* In the bowl of a stand mixer, beat butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about three minutes. Add egg, vanilla extract, and Original Hemp CBD oil. Beat until combined. Mix in the pumpkin and maple syrup until smooth. Gradually add half of the flour mixture, scrape sides down and add the remaining flour. Be careful not to overmix – you want to just get to the point where you don’t see any remaining dry flour. Next, stir in the oats.

* Drop cookie dough by rounded tablespoons onto prepared baking sheet. If you’d like flatter cookies, dip finger into small amount of water or oil and just lightly press the cookies down a bit. Bake cookies for 12 minutes or until cookies are lightly browned. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; transfer to wire racks to cool completely.

* While the Canna Pumpkin Cookies are cooling, in a medium bowl, whisk together melted butter, powdered sugar, maple syrup, vanilla extract, milk, and CBD oil. Whisk until smooth. The more milk you add the thinner the glaze will be. Depends on your preference.

* Drizzle maple glaze over cooled cookies. Let these bad boys rest so that the glaze may harden a bit! Enjoy!
